Tra Kirkpatrick is a certified Pranakriya Yoga Therapist, Thai Yoga Bodyworker, and E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher who currently resides and teaches in Atlanta, Georgia. Led to the mat 15 years ago after spontaneously attending an open house at a local yoga studio, Tra’s first experience became the doorway to a life of wholeness.
Inspired by the healing powers of Yoga ~ not simply the movements explored on the mat, but the deeper, magical qualities that help the human spirit unfold ~ Tra has spent the past seven years sharing the practices of Pranakriya Yoga, a form of Tantra Hatha Yoga that cultivates one’s ability to witness the dynamic movement and flow of life within.
Tra’s desire to know more about the human body and the ways in which it is intricately physically and energetically woven led her to become certified as a Pranakriya Yoga Therapist and Thai Yoga Bodywork. As a yoga therapist, body~energy~worker, and teacher, Tra’s approach to healing combines the love and compassion inherent within Thai philosophy with the tools and techniques of Pranakriya Yoga to restore balance, increase vitality, and improve mental well-being.
Tra shares a therapeutic yoga and healing arts practice with two of her closest yogini friends, teaches weekly classes in Atlanta and Decatur, and holds regular workshops and training. Tra is the Yoga Therapy Internship Director for the Pranakriya School of Healing Arts and has been assistant directing the Atlanta 200-hour Pranakriya Yoga Teacher Training for three years. This is her second year presenting at the Southeast Yoga Conference.
