SOLD OUT – Yoga and the Vagus Nerve: The Science of Mindful Movement

with Chelsea Roff

Yoga nerds unite! If you’re interested in the science behind why yoga works, this session is for you!

The vagus nerve, also called the wandering nerve, is a key player in the autonomic nervous system. Located just behind the throat, it functions like a dimmer switch for the entire body. When it’s stimulated, it moves you from “fight or flight” into “rest and digest.”

Yoga and meditation have powerful effects on the vagus nerve. In this session, we’ll explore the latest research on how yoga and meditation affect the nervous system. Attendees will come away with cutting-edge knowledge and practices to support emotional regulation and mental health. This session includes discussion, pranayama, and meditation.

This workshop is recommended for yogis of all levels of practice experience.
